Mom's Birthday
Gosh, it's Mom's birthdayagain already. It took me a while to find a photo of her I'd not already used. This one will have been taken sometime in the 1930s. Looks like she enjoyed the funny papers as well!
I like how you remember the special days of those loved ones who have gone on ahead. Although my parents are still here, even if Mom is here in body only, you inspired me to use the blog to honor these special people on their special day, as I did earlier this year.
Thanks, Rick. I started this blog partly out of grief and frustration: grief at the sudden death of my Aunt Rita at only 63; frustration at being the last of the genetically related members of all my grandparents. It helps me to tell others how special my family members were.

I'm an American woman in my 60's, originally from Oklahoma, but now living in England. I write this blog mainly because I love to write, but also to share my experience of living abroad with others. I'm having a much bigger life than I ever imagined. I think it is one of the benefits of frugality, also of occasionally taking the scarier option.
